One year ago, several hospitality professionals organized a webcast to discuss diversity, inclusion and equality in the hospitality industry. Their live conversation was infiltrated by a bad actor who posted racial epithets and images and rendered the webcast mute.

In this episode of NextGen in Lodging, Davonne Reaves, president of The Vonne Group in Atlanta and co-founder of the organization as well as co-host of the podcast, brings back the original guests from that fateful day in July to revisit the event and to discuss how far the hospitality industry has come since last summer in making diversity, inclusion and equity a key pillar in its business infrastructure.

Featured are Ashli Johnson, vice president of education at AAHOA in Atlanta, moderates a discussion with Tejal Patel, president and CEO of Neem Tree Hospitality in Houston, Texas, and Aron le Fèvre, director of human rights at Copenhagen 2021 in Denmark.
